Accession Number: N/A Title: Sir Frederick Banting's Machine Gun. Page 1/6 Creator: Subject: Machine Gun Description: The Machine Gun pictured was the property of Sir Frederick Banting. The WWI German machine gun was confiscated by Banting when unarmed only assisted by his ambulance driver, he bravely captured three German soldiers. The gun was sent back to Alliston Union Public School as part of the War Memorial, and is now on permanent display at the South Simcoe Pioneer Museum.
